Christopher Davis is a 1994 graduate of the American
Baptist College. Originally from Lansing Michigan, he remained in Nashville TN,
after completing college and began work in various churches in the area as
minister of music as well in a Music Educator for St. Vincent de Paul Catholic
School.
Rev. Chris, as he is referred to, came to Metropolitan in
the spring of 1998 and has served in several capacities over the years. While
working at the First Response Center he founded Men of Faith, Men of Color,
which is an HIV/AIDS and substance abuse prevention program of MSM’s in Faith
Based Institutions (i.e. churches). Chris went on to become the first openly gay
clergy to be ordained for the ministry at Metropolitan. His current focus is to
continue to spread the “Whosoever” philosophy of Metropolitan as he embarks to
found the Interdenominational Worship Center; a congregation who’s primary focus
Worship for All people.
