Darria Hudson (best known as D. J.) is currently a Master's of Divinity
student at Vanderbilt Divinity school. She is originally from Jonesboro, GA, and
first came to Nashville to attend Fisk University, from which she obtained a
Bachelor's degree in History. While at Fisk she researched
student involvement in the Nashville sit-ins while engaging in activism and
community organizing of her own with other students in the city. Also at Fisk
she served as a Chapel Assistant and student minister in the Fisk Memorial
Chapel for two years. She is currently researching womanist theology and the the
role of the natural world in African-American theology.
